Healthy Hearing for Everyone Everywhere
About Us
hearX Foundation works to create access to hearing care services in underserved communities.
With 466 million people around the world affected by disabling hearing loss (WHO, 2022) our core focus is to create access to ear and hearing health at grassroots level. 80% of these people live in lower and middle income countries where access to hearing care is often severely limited.
Programmes
We partner with local organisations to implement decentralised, mHealth supported programmes, to mitigate hearing difficulties in all groups. Our goal is to create impact on an individual, community and global level through sustainable, smart solutions. All our programmes are evidence-based, adapted to be contextually relevant and responsive to the community’s needs.
AWARENESS AND PREVENTION TRAINING
Hearing health awareness and prevention sessions for children and community members.
Through the ‘EARS’ teacher training programme, we educate and equip teachers to identify, refer and support learners with potential hearing problems.
SCREENING AND
REFERRALS FOR CHILDREN
Community based, dual sensory (hearing and vision) screening programmes for pre-school and school aged children, using hearX digital technologies.
Our aim is to remove hearing and vision educational barriers and provide support throughout the referral pathway to care.
COMPREHENSIVE HEARING SERVICES FOR ADULTS
End to end community- and home-based hearing care for seniors.
We provide innovative support to maximise benefit.
